Shirin has over 25 years of experience in tech and has founded several successful software businesses. Her latest start-up Oxford Algorithms develops AI algorithms that predict the financial markets returning over 20% annualised return to its investors. Her first start-up was Arieso, a leader in telecoms geolocation solutions which was acquired by JDSU. She has also acted as Chairwoman and NED of several companies two of which successfully exited to PE backed companies in 2020 and 2021 respectively.

Shirin also spent several years working with a leading VC firm in London both as senior as well as operating partner. As well as operational roles, she is also an angle investor and mentor to several young entrepreneurs. Shirin has won a number of prestigious industry awards, including Blackberry’s Top Woman in Technology, Best Woman in Mobile, and European female entrepreneur of the year in 2013. In 2019, she was also awarded her Fellowship at Royal Academy of Engineering in recognition of her contributions to technology and engineering.
