Debate: Climate - Good or Bad for AI?
Ask not what AI can do for climate, but what climate will do for AI. This debate will explore the future of AI, from discussing the threats that climate poses, such as extreme weather or energy scarcity, to the climate's drivers for innovation, such as the energy transformation's potential for scaling compute. We'll argue for hope, as well as dousing cold water on the hype, exploring the dangers of ignoring reality when focused on creating artificiality.

The Big Tech Debate

Playing to Cambridge’s legacy of innovation and debate, The Big Tech Debate, returns for the third year offering a dynamic, interactive session that challenges conventional thinking. Following last year’s lively debate on the role of government in UK Tech, 2025 promises to be even more electrifying, this session will feature thought-provoking discussions on the most pressing issues in technology. Find out more about the debate and the panellists here.

Tech Futures

Following its successful debut at Cambridge Tech Week 2024, the Tech Futures initiative is set to expand significantly in 2025. Aimed at students from sixth forms, skills bootcamps, colleges, and universities, the programme will offer opportunities facilitated by Form the Future to attend conference sessions, engage in hands-on tech activities, explore Innovation Alley, connect with exhibitors, network with industry delegates, and participate in a three-day hackathon, HackEd, delivered by TechEducators.

Find out more on the Tech Futures dedicated page.

Networking Events

We understand that networking is one of the most important reasons for people to attend events like Cambridge Tech week.

The event, and indeed the main conference programme culminates with a Gala Networking Reception to celebrate with connections – old and new. During the event there will also be announcements including the winners of the Tech Futures HackEd competition.

Held at The Graduate Hotel, drinks commence at 6pm, with dinner at 7pm.

Anyone interested in attending should book their tickets whilst spaces are still available.

More details on other networking events can be found here.
