Cambridge Tech Week Final Launch Event in Norwich

Cambridge Tech Week will launch its 2025 programme in the East of England with a special evening of collaboration and celebration at the Sainsbury Centre, University of East Anglia (UEA) in Norwich. Taking place on 29 April, the event will bring together entrepreneurs, investors, and tech leaders to strengthen innovation ties across the East of England.
Hosted by UEA and Norwich Research Park, and supported by the NR 4ward programme, the evening will focus on building connections, sparking ideas, and offering a preview of what’s to come during Cambridge Tech Week 2025. The NR 4ward programme – funded by Research England – aims to support the region’s innovation ecosystem by helping staff and postgraduate researchers commercialise their work.
What to Expect
- Opening Remarks from Professor Julian Blow, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research and Innovation at UEA.
- NR 4ward Programme Overview with Dr Joita Dey, Interim Associate Director of IP & Investment Management at UEA and Director of NR 4ward, who will provide insights into the programme’s mission and milestones.
- A Look Ahead to CamTechWeek with Michaela Eschbach, CEO of Cambridge Wireless, who will share an exclusive preview of this year’s Cambridge Tech Week, highlighting UEA’s role and the event’s growing momentum.
- Panel Discussion: Driving Innovation Across the East with a panel of thought leaders who will discuss the role Cambridge Tech Week plays in advancing innovation throughout the region. Panellists will include:
- Roz Bird, CEO of Norwich Research Park
- Victor Christou, deep tech investor and former CEO of Cambridge Innovation Capital
- Professor Sheng Qi, Professor of Pharmaceutical Material Science and Technology at UEA
- Dr Daniel Marcu, co-founder of Virilitas Labs and Cambridge Tech Week 2024 innovation award winner
- Dr Jason Mellad, serial entrepreneur and co-founder of StartCodon
