Finalists Revealed for Cambridge Tech Week Innovation Alley Award
Update: Winners – InferSens
At Cambridge Tech Week 2023, an independent panel awarded InferSens the Innovation Alley Award. InferSens is an edgeAI deep tech company focussed on transforming sensor technology. Based in Cambridge, InferSens brings sophisticated deep learning models to extremely low-power sensors, opening a raft of new data-rich sensor applications that were previously hard or even impossible to address.

Innovation Alley will showcase early-stage and start-up companies who are developing cutting edge solutions in areas such as AI/ML, Medtech, immersive technologies and tech supporting sustainable solutions.
All the participating companies have been judged by an independent panel on the following criteria: originality of the innovation and potential commercial, economic or societal impact
The winner of the Innovation Alley award will be announced at the CORE conference and will receive a valuable media package from Business Weekly.
The finalists exhibiting across 9th and 10th May are:
— Sanome: Developing novel AI technology to combine biomarkers into diagnostics, to detect early health changes
— HutanBio Ltd: Decarbonising long-distance transport, in an industry that is locked into fossil fuels with no credible alternative.
— InferSens: Developing deep learning sensor technology enabling machine learning on-device. Its first product automates Legionella risk monitoring in building water systems.
— Vuala: Their solution utilizes targeted microorganisms and novel mechanical design to automatically separate food waste from other waste.
— Cambridge Sensoriis Ltd: Manufactures and sells micro-radars for applications requiring robust high-resolution measurement in a low-SWaP (Size, Weight, and Power) package.
— Ethicronics: Brings software technologies ensuring no more fake, compromised and unsustainable electronics hardware.
— Ripple Xn: AI software solution that monitors and analyses what’s said on social video content on platforms such as Twitch, TikTok, and YouTube.
— KRAI: Developing a B2B SaaS platform for designing ultra-efficient Computer Systems in the Natural Language Processing market.
— Canairy: Building a platform to harness the power of machine learning, from predictive maintenance to human health to security.
— Urban XR: A Creative Tech company specialising in innovation in the Built Environment sector.
— Enbiosis Biotechnology Ltd: Producing AI-driven, next-generation bioengineering and biotechnology solutions that enhance human health and quality of life.
— CardioCrown Ltd: Developing a stroke rehabilitation system that embeds AI, Functional Electrical Stimulation(FES), and VR into one system which can be used by the patient at home.
— GENXT: Develops solutions for secure data collaboration in personal genomics and precision medicine.
— Blecon: Enabling companies to get real-world data from products and environments to cloud backends using Bluetooth Low Energy, with an AirTags-like data network they can integrate.
— Algreen Ltd: Who invent fully biobased and biodegradable polyurethanes designed to eliminate petrol-based polyurethanes.
