The CTW Conversations fringe festival commences on the Bank Holiday with a community day, offering a variety of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Whether you prefer science or the arts, come and join the fun. The programme is currently in development so keep an eye on this page for further information and updates as events are confirmed.

Tuesday 9 May CTW Core

Hear from leading figures from the tech world at the CTW Core conference, which opens at the renowned Wellcome Genome Campus on Tuesday 9 May.  

Discover:

  • The Mega Trends that will underpin our future
  • AI/ML use in an evolving world
  • Where Quantum Technology could take us
  • Innovation Alley, showcasing the latest tech

We will also explore why only 1% of Venture Capital invests in women-led companies, hear from successful Founders sharing their innovation journeys in robotics and autonomous vehicles, and uncover early stage ventures at the bleeding edge.

Former Google CFO and VC fund manager Patrick Pichette will join us for a late fireside chat, before the day closes with a networking reception over drinks and canapes.

Wednesday 10 May CTW Core

We look at the UK and Cambridge’s place in global science and innovation at the Wellcome Genome Campus on Wednesday 10 May. 

Discover:

  • Fast-tracking venture funding to respond to sustainability targets
  • Semiconductors – legacy and future
  • Can The Metaverse bring us together?
  • Innovation Alley, showcasing the latest tech

We will also examine how tech can support the workforce of tomorrow and the future of VC-backed deep tech. Looking at the big tech stories, we will gain insight from personal innovation journeys and engage with future technologies that will shape the way we live.

Thursday 11 May CTW Core

CTW moves to the Cambridge Union Debating Chamber for the first Big Tech Debate. Designed to be thought-provoking, challenging and interactive, Thursday tackles big picture issues enabled and created by technology.

This unique event gives space to reflect on macro societal and economic impacts of technology, their potential consequences and what the choice of regulatory, policy or economic responses might be. 

Lively discussion and debate will conclude the CTW Core conference, giving delegates the opportunity to have their say and pose questions to those at the forefront.

Friday 12 May
CTW Conversations

Hackathons, tech bootcamps, international collaboration events and much more… the final day of CTW will bring together the vibrancy and energy of the city’s tech community to give delegates and visitors the chance to experience it firsthand.
