VyperCore, a 17-person, UK-based, fabless processor deep-tech startup with offices in Cambridge and Bristol, is transforming modern computing by delivering 4x to 5x acceleration for general-purpose data center workloads for in-production application software. This novel processor architecture, initially targeted at server-class application processor cores, optimally handles mainstream managed languages like Python, C#, Java, Go, and JavaScript. Acceleration is achieved by replacing the software-based memory allocation management, a common feature of all managed-language runtimes, with high-performance hardware embedded inside the CPU, and occurs without requiring any modifications to the application’s source code, while ensuring robust security against memory-safety cyber attacks at the gate level.
