Join academics from the University of Cambridge and other innovators to learn about the dawn of FemTech and discuss the multi-faceted challenges and opportunities ahead.
The women’s health gap describes the shocking lack of equality in healthcare between women and men. This gap is embedded across the healthcare pipeline, from research and policy to delivery of care and health outcomes, resulting in a huge unmet need that often flies under the radar. FemTech, or technology tailored to women’s health needs, is vital to improving the women’s health gap, while also offering significant commercial opportunities.
This event will act as an introduction to FemTech that highlights the role both academia and industry play in this rapidly growing field. The purpose is to bridge theory with practice and facilitate conversations between attendees of Cambridge Tech Week, academics, policymakers, and investors.
As part of Cambridge Tech Week, we will expect a mix of industry presence from the Cambridge Tech ecosystem, as well as humanities and science academics/students from the university. This will be a fantastic opportunity for interaction between the academic and industrial/commercial ecosystems.
Who should attend? Investors interested in FemTech, innovators developing solutions in women’s health, and business development leaders seeking to foster growth in the FemTech sector.
Venue: Pfizer Lecture Theatre, Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry, University of Cambridge, Lensfield Rd, Cambridge CB2 1EW, United Kingdom
