AI, QUANTUM & CONVERGENCE
As part of Cambridge Tech Week’s AI & Quantum Deep Dive, we are inviting applications from speakers to join a fast-paced Showcase Session focused on real-world use cases in AI, quantum technologies, and the emerging areas where the two intersect.
This session will sit within a wider day exploring AI and quantum as distinct but equally transformative technologies, before moving into their applications, adoption challenges, ethics, regulation, future skills, and the growing potential for convergence. A key theme running through the programme is readiness, how businesses, industries and ecosystems prepare for the opportunities and implications of these technologies.
We are looking for speakers from early-stage startups through to more established innovators who are building and deploying real solutions. This includes companies with a clear proof of concept, as well as those scaling their impact over the past 5–10 years.
We are particularly interested in strong, practical examples of applied innovation. This could include a proven AI deployment, a breakthrough in quantum technologies, or a convergence use case such as quantum machine learning, optimisation, sensing, or other real-world applications. Presentations should be grounded, accessible and relevant, not just technically impressive, but clear in their significance and value.
The showcase is expected to feature six short speaker slots across one hour, with a balanced mix of early-stage and more established innovators. The aim is to create an energetic, insight-rich session that highlights what is happening now and what is coming next.
The line-up will reflect the breadth and ambition of Cambridge Tech Week, with diversity across backgrounds, sectors, geography and stage of growth. Applications are welcomed from startups and scaleups with a compelling story to tell, alongside select contributions from research-led ventures and ecosystem organisations where there is a strong, tangible use case.
If you have a standout example of how AI, quantum, or their convergence are being applied in practice and can share it in a clear, concise and engaging way, we would love to hear from you.
This Call for Speakers closes on 29 June. All submissions will be reviewed by the editorial team. Successful nominations will be aligned to the most relevant part of the programme and confirmed by Friday 17 July 2026. Content is proposed and there will be opportunity for modification prior to publication.
