As Head of Seed Funds, Christine oversees the venture building and venture investment activities of Cambridge Enterprise.
The team commit £8-10 million each year in spin-out companies of the University and work closely with academic founders to enable them to achieve their commercial goals. The portfolio of >140 companies is valued at >£120M and the team supports approximately 15 new companies each year.
With expertise in Life Science investment, Christine has a focus on drug discovery supporting a broad portfolio of University of Cambridge spin-outs including Carrick, Centessa, Qkine, Pretzel and TransitionBio. Christine was featured in BioBeat’s 50 Movers and Shakers in BioBusiness 2018.
Christine has an MA and DPhil from the University of Oxford. She is the author of over 20 peer reviewed journal articles and an inventor on more than 20 patents.
