Ian Lane

Ian focusses on new technology investments, managing CIC’s investments into Seldon (MLOps), Cambridge GaN Devices (Power Semiconductors), Salience (Photonic Compute), Unlikely AI (AI), Secondmind (AI) and AudioTelligence (AI). Before joining CIC, Ian was a Director at Unilever Ventures in London, where he spent 11 years leading B2B/Technology direct investments across Europe/North America and managed a portfolio of fund LP positions. Prior to Unilever Ventures, Ian worked at L.E.K. Consulting in London and Australia, working on strategy consulting and private equity due-diligence projects. Ian has PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Cambridge and Msci in Chemistry from Bristol University.
