I started my career in education in 1994 by working with the Department for Work and Pensions and being responsible for engaging adults in training for new and future careers. I was so bowled over by the impact that skills training had on people’s lives that I became a Training Advisor for a private training company specialising in Apprenticeships across Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire. It was there that I fell in love with Apprenticeships, adult skills and work-based training. I could not be prouder of my role as Group Principal of UPD and the work that we do across the Eastern Education Group in changing lives for the better.
