Matt has over 20 years’ experience in data science engineering in both the UK and US, and has worked extensively in cyber security and product innovation. In his role as Chief Technology Officer for Europe, Matt heads up Darktrace’s mathematical and engineering teams in Cambridge, which have been recognised in the Royal Academy of Engineering MacRobert Innovation Award Committee in both 2017 and 2019, and also oversees Darktrace’s R&D centre in the Hague. He has acted in an advisory capacity to early stage start-ups and with the application of statistical and machine learning methodologies for several non-profit organisations. Matt holds a degree in Physics from the University of Leeds.
