We are developing a disruptive biofuel but without the disruption. Our HBx oil is a low carbon, scalable ‘drop in’ replacement for diesel and feedstock for aviation fuels. For every kilogram of fuel we produce, our algae absorbs almost 2kg of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
We are doing what nature has done for 2 billion years, converting sunlight and carbon dioxide into flammable hydrocarbons. Our algae is new to science and thrives in high sunlight and salty water meaning we avoid taking fresh water and prime land from agriculture, avoiding food poverty.
