Opure

Opure is a Cambridge based hardware startup building OPURIUM, the living HEPA air purifier. It pairs conventional particulate filtration with a living Spirulina culture that draws CO2 and pollutants directly from room air, then reports air quality in real time through integrated sensors. Poorly ventilated indoor air routinely exceeds the 1,000ppm CO2 threshold at which concentration and cognitive performance decline. OPURIUM tackles that at source. In our home testing it removed CO2 15 times faster than a large spider plant. The result is cleaner air, sharper thinking and a piece of living design for the home.
